EWA LS-20 Loudspeaker Cable
LS-20: No longer built, this was a stop gap product until EWA LS-25 could be produced again.
LS-20 is an excellent loudspeaker cable in it's own right, being twin runs of LS-5 twinned inside a braided sleeve (our statement cable, LS-50 is the same concept - only made with LS-25).
On it's own, LS-20 is a most useful step up from LS-5 providing more bass and a more powerful projection of musical and textural detail. It is still not as good as LS-25 however, despite being a laborious and expensive cable to assemble, which is why it is discontinued.
We have a 4m stereo set and a 5m stereo set available on a first come-first serve basis. These are used cables but are in good condition. We can terminate to your requirements, and in doing so will add up to date heatshrink and branding. No trade in will be entertained on LS-5, nor will it be offered in the future against other EWA products. Below is the original LS-20 description:
Colin Wonfor designed the EWA cable system from scratch, rather than simply purchase off the reel wire from wholesalers to be re-packaged and marketed. His design goals include (but are not limited to) eliminating common mode noise on the cable, suppressing all phase distortion, and preventing ringing at any frequency. To achieve this he utilized raw wires not usually found in audio cable, and many of the dielectric and insulation materials are his own design and composition. The details of the geometry in the EWA cable system is also quite unique.
LS-20 is twinned LS-5 within a webbed sleeve. As with LS-5, you will notice the excellent stereo imaging abilities within the widest of soundstages, stable at all frequencies and volumes. This is in part due to exemplary behavior regarding signal phase.
Due to having twice the conductor material as LS-5 it has excellent bass attack and depth. The bass depth is noticeable only on program material that requires it; otherwise LS-20 performs just as LS-5 and shares the same balance and neutrality. However, when used with larger loudspeakers the bass speed and extension becomes apparent, which integrates seamlessly into an expansive mid-range.
